Courtland Sutton’s hands had that old glitter again. But his arm? The arm was pure gold.
“Yeah, I mean, shoot, it was something that once we had started practicing it during the week, I was like, ‘All right, feel good about it,'” the veteran Broncos wide receiver said Sunday after his first 100-yard receiving game in nearly two years.
Rubber, meet road.
The Broncos hadn’t even finished off a decisive, 28-14 win against Carolina on Sunday and coach Sean Payton already had his mind in the future.
He couldn’t put this win, Denver’s fifth in the past six games, to bed fast enough.

He couldn’t outline his checklist of all the ways his team had to improve loudly enough.
Payton knew what this game against the Panthers was: The next one on the schedule.
Nik Bonitto’s name is starting to get mentioned with Von Miller — and for good reason.
In Denver’s 28-14 win over the Panthers on Sunday, the third-year edge rusher recorded a sack for the sixth straight game, tying for the third-longest sack streak in club history dating back to 1982. It’s the longest since 2018 when Miller accomplished the same feat.
“Coaches have a good rush plan every week for us,” Bonitto told The Denver Post.
The Denver Broncos beat the Carolina Panthers 28-14 in week 8 of the NFL season at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado, on Sunday, October 27, 2024.

With the clock at zero, Washington rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels launched a 52-yard Hail Mary that bounced off Chicago defenders into the waiting arms of Noah Brown to give the Commanders an 18-15 win.
Daniels, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft, outdueled the No.
Stat line: 28 for 37, 277 passing yards, three touchdowns; four carries, 5 yards, one touchdown
Highlight: Bo Nix’s touchdown pass to Adam Trautman in the second quarter was the highlight of the game. With seven minutes to go in the quarter, Nix threw a beautiful pass, slipping the ball past linebacker Trevin Wallace before the veteran tight end made the one-handed grab.
Lowlight: Out of all of the sacks Nix has taken this season, the worst one came in the first quarter on Sunday.
