The girl struck by a minivan Wednesday afternoon in Salmon Creek is doing well and recovering at home, her parents say. Vancouver’s Robert E. Taylor said his daughter, who was hospitalized after a minivan hit her when she went into the roadway at the intersection of Northwest Third Avenue and Northwest 114th Street, was back home Friday. She was brought to Randall Children’s Hospital after responding police and firefighters found her conscious at the scene. She suffered a concussion, some fractures and fairly mild road rash, Taylor said, and is doing makeup schoolwork at home while she’s away from class. “My wife and I really want to thank the Station 6 firefighters & EMTs, and the Clark County Sheriff’s Office for their service,” he said.
