A Georgia judge on Monday blocked a controversial rule passed by the Trump-allied majority on the Georgia State Election Board requiring the hand count of ballots on Election Night. Fulton County Judge Robert McBurney declared that the new ruled had been enacted too close to the election. McBurney invoked the January 6 insurrection in his order enjoining the eleventh-hour change that had led to fears among election officials that results could be delayed and ultimately not certified by pro-Trump officials. “The public interest is not disserved by pressing pause here,” McBurney wrote.

And we know that Republicans don't like it when people turn out in massive numbers. A record-breaking 328,000 total votes were cast.
