DANBURY — Georgia parole officials have agreed to end their extradition request for Sherman resident and long time fugitive from justice Robert Stackowitz after reviewing his recent medical history. Officials with the Georgia State Board of Pardons and Paroles recently granted a medical repreieve for Stackowitz, who fled from a Georgia work camp in 1968 where he was serving time on a robbery charge, after receiving a request from his attorneys. According to one doctor, Pattis said, his client might only live another two to four years.
