The last time Dikembe Mutombo invited his Georgetown brothers Patrick Ewing and Alonzo Mourning to his native continent, he ended up running from his cottage, fearing for his life. After the trio visited South Africa as part of a goodwill tour in 1994, they went on a safari at Kruger National Park in the eastern part of the country, near Mozambique. But while they were sleeping one night, an elephant got loose in the village and started knocking around Mutombo’s cottage.
