This was shown to be the case in an earlier leak but thanks to this reveal, it’s all but confirmed to be the real deal. The render video also gives us a sneak peek into that rumored IR sensor on the Joy-Con which fuels the fire on it being able to be used as a mouse. Moving to the physical replica unit(s) at the CES 2025 exhibition, these appear to be 3D-printed dummies of the Switch 2, complete with detachable Joy-Cons, that obviously don’t work but still showcase how they clip on via magnets.
