Game Wardens Searching For Man Who Fell In Megunticook Lake

CAMDEN — A search is underway for a man who went through the ice Monday night on Megunticook Lake. “At this point we are conducting a search for a young gentleman we presume went into the water last night,” said Warden Bruce Loring of the Maine Warden Service. The Maine Warden Service Dive Team is setting up operations at the public landing off Route 105 in Camden. “We will be conducting dive operations to confirm someone actually did go through,” Loring said. The warden said the initial call indicated that the man fell into Norton Pond in Lincolnville, but Loring said wardens now believe it is on Megunticook, farther up the lake. This story will be updated.
