An estimated 350 girls participated in the annual Girls on the Run 5k held at the University of Iowa’s Ashton Cross Country Course on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013. The seventh annual event featured girls in third grade through sixth grade who had trained with volunteer coaches for 10 weeks as part of the Girls on the Run Program.
