PROVIDENCE -- The automated vehicle future arrived in Providence at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.Then it halted. Its would-be first passenger was otherwise occupied on the sidewalk outside the train station taking pictures and chatting with people about what it would be like to take the first ride when the vehicle, without him inside, departed.A state worker shouted out to get it to stop.
