The University of Akron’s Mike Sherman, vice president for innovation and economic development and the chief operating officer of the research foundation, is a finalist for another UA job — provost at the University of Arkansas.He is one of three finalists for the chief academic officer position at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.The new hire will have the title of executive vice chancellor for academic affairs and provost.Sherman, 61, will give a public presentation at the University of Arkansas on Thursday.
