Joe Arpaio, the notoriously brutal and racist former Sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona, was found guilty of criminal contempt, report correspondents from the courthouse in Phoenix. He'll be sentenced in October. https://twitter.com/MarcyJonesFox10/status/892086824843198464 The charges stem from Arpaio's illegal roundups of dark-skinned people, ostensibly illegal immigrants, which were condemned as racial profiling in an earlier court ruling.
