A former Houston Police officer pleaded guilty Friday to theft by a public servant, after being caught stealing $700 during an internal affairs investigation in 2010. Assistant Harris County District Attorney Angela Weltin said Thomas was put in charge of watching a "live" crime scene at a Houston motel on October 14, 2010.
