Mixing blunt economic facts with motivational oratory, former Valley economic development executive Barry Broome made a case to his funders on Thursday that Sacramento — where he now serves in a similar role — must stop using the region's relative affordability as a primary selling point to attract businesses. The pitch to companies that might move to the state's capitol city should be that the capital region is home to abundant talent and untapped real estate, said Broome.
