Frank V. Sacco, the man who steered Memorial Healthcare System to become the behemoth it is today, died Monday of cancer at age 77. Sacco dedicated 41 years of service to the Memorial Healthcare System and 28 years as president and CEO before retiring in 2016. In recent years, he and his partner of 20 years, Rebecca Caschette, lived in Ormond Beach, where he had been enjoying retirement, his family said Monday. “For many years, his name was synonymous with the hospital,” said Mara Giulianti, former mayor of Hollywood.
