A Washington, D.C., developer Thursday unveiled a proposal to convert the former Bank of America operations center at 225 N. Calvert St. into a 350-unit apartment complex downtown. If the city's famously picky architecture review panel was any indication, the project could become one of the most remarkable office-to-residential transformations in downtown because it includes a complete facade overhaul with a bold new color scheme.
