Flights At Colorado Springs Airport Diverted Due To Low Visibility

A handful of flights headed for the Colorado Springs Airport were diverted or canceled Wednesday because of low visibility. As of 1 p.m., four inbound flights scheduled to arrive late morning or early afternoon were diverted, three to Denver International Airport and one to Montrose Regional Airport, said Nate Lavin, a spokesman for the Colorado Springs Airport. Diverted flights included a Frontier Airlines flight from Las Vegas, an Alaska Airlines flight from Seattle, and United Airlines flights from Denver and Los Angeles, Lavin said. Four departing flights were canceled, including American Airlines Flight 5930 to Dallas, Alaska Flight 3487 to Seattle, and United Flights 5242 and 5421 to Denver.
