Five Candidates Vie For Three School Board Positions

Panama-Buena Vista Union School District board of trustee candidates are campaigning for votes in an election that for the first time will feature "by-trustee-area" seats as opposed to the previous system in which all candidates ran "at-large." The district made the change to trustees representing specific geographic areas to avoid potential lawsuits, give minorities better representation and to cut election costs.
