Associated PressFOWLER — Firefighters have been able to keep a 130-acre wildfire from spreading in southeastern Colorado. The fire outside the town of Fowler, about 40 miles east of Pueblo, was 75 percent contained Thursday despite continued windy, dry weather in the region. Crews are working to put out hot spots inside the fire's perimeter. The fire started Wednesday and officials believe it was sparked by a controlled burn earlier in the week that wasn't properly put out. Fire crews were able to protect two homes on the north side of the fire by building containment lines.
