BY STEPHEN HOBBS stephen.hobbs@gazette.com -Firefighters have contained three-quarters of a blaze near Fowler, in Otero County, but threats remain, La Junta Fire Chief Aaron Eveatt said Thursday.About 35 firefighters were on scene to battle the fire, Eveatt said, which remained at 75 percent contained as of Thursday afternoon.Crews from Fowler, La Junta, Manzanola and Juniper Valley were on scene during the day, Eveatt said.The main threat of the fire, which that Wednesday night, remained on the north side of the Arkansas River, where there are "heavy fuels" inside the fire line, Eveatt said.
