NORTH LIBERTY — The North Liberty Fire Department responded to a house fire Sunday evening.According to a department news release, crews were called to 8 Brickwood Knoll NE, east of North Liberty, at 6:11 p.m. Sunday for a report of a house fire. Responding firefighters found an attached garage on fire upon their arrival and the fire had spread into the residence.Crews had the fire under control within an hour, the fire department said.The fire department said the garage sustained heavy fire damage and parts of the home had smoke and water damage, but no damage estimate was available.
