Fight, Robbery Investigated At Colorado Springs Convenience Store

An employee at a southeast Colorado Springs convenience store was hurt during an armed robbery Sunday morning, police said. A man armed with a knife went inside a Shell gas station, 1590 S. Academy Blvd., and demanded money, police said. A fight between the robber and an employee followed, police said. Gazette news partner KKTV identified the victim as the store's manager. The victim suffered minor injuries in the robbery, which was reported just before 9 a.m., police said.
