Robert Saleh insisted no one was panicked about the New York Jets’ slow start. A day later, he was out of a job.
Owner Woody Johnson made the stunning decision Tuesday to fire Saleh five games into his fourth season after the team’s 2-3 start following a 23-17 loss to Minnesota in London on Sunday.
“This morning, I informed Robert Saleh that he will no longer serve as head coach of the Jets,” Johnson said in a statement issued by the team.
NEW YORK — More than a dozen states and the District of Columbia have filed lawsuits against TikTok on Tuesday, alleging the popular short-form video app is harming youth mental health by designing its platform to be addictive to kids.
The lawsuits stem from a national investigation into TikTok, which was launched in March 2022 by a bipartisan coalition of attorneys general from many states, including California, Kentucky and New Jersey.
One person was reported dead Tuesday morning after a fire in Denver’s River North Art District and arson investigators are on their way to the scene, according to the Denver Fire Department.

Colorado Springs officers fatally shot a suicidal man allegedly wielding a knife early Tuesday morning, police said.
Around midnight Tuesday, officers responded to reports of a suicidal man causing a disturbance with his roommates in the 5100 block of Prairie Grass Lane, according to a 4:32 a.m. statement from the Colorado Springs Police Department.
When officers contacted the man — who has not been identified by police — he allegedly approached them “aggressively” with the knife and one officer shot him, police said in the statement.
Paramedics took the man to a hospital where he died from his injuries, police said.
