Only a few thousand people are expected to cast ballots Tuesday in a special election for central Jacksonville’s District 13 seat in Florida’s House of Representatives. “Hopefully, we’ll get four or five percent” of voters to show up Tuesday, said Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland. That would be a little less than the 5,537 whose votes have been received through the mail or came in person for early voting in the contest between two-term House member Reggie Fullwood, a Democrat, and Republican Lawrence Jefferson. read more
