Fec Orders John Edwards Campaign To Pay $2.3 Million

(By Jim Morrill, jmorrill@charlotteobserver.com) The Federal Elections Commission today said Democratic John Edwards' 2008 presidential campaign must repay the U.S. Treasury $2.3 million.The commission unanimously ordered the campaign to repay the money, which represents part of the $13 million in public matching funds the campaign received.
