Fannie, Freddie Recouped $20.9 Billion From Banks

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac received $20.9 billion from U.S. banks over about three years to satisfy demands to buy back shoddy mortgages, according to the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission.
