A Saco woman got trapped in her car Tuesday in South Portland when a giant maple tree fell on her vehicle during a rainstorm. South Portland Fire Chief Kevin Guimond said Mary Keefe was driving west on Broadway around 1 p.m. when the tree fell on of her four-door sedan, crushing the roof and sending a tree limb roughly 6 inches in diameter through the windshield. The limb scraped Keefe’s face and came within an inch of her head.
