Fighter jets with the Colorado Air National Guard will fly over the state’s metro area and Front Range on Monday to honor American veterans and celebrate the national holiday. The guard will fly F-16C Vipers, also known as Fighting Falcons, military officials said in a news release. F-16s flying in formation symbolize strength and vigilance, officials said. If the skies stay clear, the fighter jets will pass over Scottsbluff, Nebraska around 11:30 a.m.
