An Illinois man is suing Hartgrove Hospital in Chicago and its parent company, alleging that staff members sexually abused him as a child, while he was a patient at the behavioral health facility.
The man, who filed the lawsuit anonymously as John Doe 1, alleges he was abused around 2001 and 2002 when he was about 11 to 13 years old.
He alleges multiple staff members abused him, though they are also not named in the lawsuit, which was filed Wednesday in Cook County Circuit Court.
