NEWTOWN — A former Newtown police sergeant has admitted to illegally distributing steroids and prescription drugs, the U.S. Department of Justice said Wednesday in a news release. The investigation, dubbed “Operation Juice Box,” began in 2014 after federal authorities received an anonymous letter with a sample of Santucci’s steroids, according to court records.
