Euro-zone Inflation Slows, German Data Upbeat

A steeper-than-expected fall in euro-zone inflation gave hope that the European Central Bank could soon step in to support growth in the crisis-hit region, despite a fresh spate of data from Germany showing the bloc's largest economy continues to flourish.
