Seven of his 16 carries were for first downs or touchdowns. Sonny, who spent much of his coaching career in the Lone Star State before taking over at Cal in 2012, is the only one of Spike’s three children not living in Texas. The third-year starter now now has the most career passing yards (8,126), most total offense (8,266) and most career completions (704) in Cal history. On the year, he is 68-of-93 for 898 yards, nine touchdowns and two interceptions.
