Enrollment is on the rise at both Samford University and Birmingham-Southern College. Samford posted its seventh consecutive record fall enrollment with 5,206 for the fall semester. That's up 5 percent from 4,933 a year ago. The private university also posted a record 826 first-year, full-time students. “These records did not happen by accident,” said Samford President Andrew Westmoreland.
