Election Day Voting On Slower Pace Than Previous City Elections

Four hours after the polls opened Tuesday morning, votes cast at the polls in Linn and Johnson counties were slightly lower when compared with the same time frame in the last city elections. According to 11 a.m. election turnout results from the Johnson County Auditor’s Office, more than 1,600 votes had been cast countywide — or about a 2.2 percent turnout — not including absentee ballots.
