An email that seemed to be from a member of the Chicago FBI branch cost one northern suburban couple thousands of dollars. The email claimed the couple had been tracked by a monitoring system and accused the two of "money laundering and financing terrorism in different parts of the world." It appeared to be sent by the Chicago FBI, located in Rolling Meadows.
