A group of Beaumont ISD teachers voiced distrust in the district's leadership Thursday night, challenging administrators' pursuit of a designation that will permit exemptions from state regulations. The board of managers voted unanimously to approve the creation of a committee that will develop a District of Innovation Plan. The group will decide what state requirements BISD will opt out of for the next five years.
