Over the course of a 50-year career, you're going to accumulate some scores that need settling -- at least that seemed to be the lesson from a recent insult-laden awards ceremony speech by Bob Dylan. The most head-scratching takeaway was Dylan's remarks about Merle Haggard, a friend and tour mate, whom the legendary songwriter compared unfavorably to Buck Owens, the other pillar of the Bakersfield Sound. But Dylan is now softening his comments on Haggard.
