It'll be cooler than usual and possibly stormy Friday, forecasters say. According to the National Weather Service in Pueblo, scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely to continue across the Pikes Peak region, including "quite strong and possibly severe" storms in the far eastern plains. Meanwhile, Colorado Springs could see some precipitation after noon with a high near 86 degrees. The rest of the region will boast temperatures in the 80s and 90s. The forecast is expected to change this weekend, "when mostly dry weather will return" with possible triple-digit temperatures in the southeastern plains, the weather service said in a forecast bulletin.
