The McHenry County Sheriff's Office is on the lookout for a driver who crashed a car into a roadside pole Friday night and fled the scene on foot, according to authorities. The crash happened about 10 p.m. Friday in the 4800 block of Dean Street in unincorporated Woodstock, according to sheriff's office spokeswoman Sandra Rogers. "It was a car [versus] pole accident where the driver fled prior to police arrival," Rogers wrote in an email to the Northwest Herald. A K-9 unit searched the area for the driver of the car and could not locate anyone. The investigation is ongoing.
