The driver of a Nissan Rogue accused of hitting a man in Pompano Beach and leaving him dead in the road was arrested Sunday, a week after the crash, authorities said. Willian Eduardo Beltran Velasquez, 31, of Coral Springs, was held in the Broward Main Jail as of Tuesday night on one count of leaving the scene of an accident involving death and one count of tampering with physical evidence. Someone called authorities shortly after 4 a.m.
