Metro switched trains Monday on its Red Line back to being run by computers — a move that the transit agency has said would give passengers a smoother and more consistent ride.Since the deadly Red Line crash six years at the Fort Totten stop, Metro has been running its trains in manual and trying to upgrade its systems to go back to running in automatic train operations, known as ATO, where computers do the driving instead of humans.
