To help alleviate overcrowding at metro-Detroit animal shelters, two dog-adoption events will be held this weekend in Mount Clemens and Sterling Heights.On Saturday, the Gibraltar Trade Center, which is slated to close at the end of the month, will be site of an adoption event through the Detroit Animal Care and Control shelter and its affiliate Friends of DACC, according to Michelle Spranger of the Friends of DACC.
