Texas Department of Motor Vehicles has awarded Potter County a grant of over $600,000 to establish a multicounty task force to combat auto burglary and theft. The $667,000 grant, which was awarded by the Auto Burglary Prevention Authority on June 23 in Austin, will establish the Panhandle Auto Burglary & Theft Unit.
