It looked to me it was simple an SEO website at this point, and that was last year. The current design was a real last attempt to keep digg alive, but it appears that was gutted.

  • What exactly happened to Digg and caused mass exodus to Reddit?
    Digg fucked up in big ways, from making huge irreversible changes to the UI, to changing the nature of front page content overnight (less stuff people liked, more spam). People didn't leave digg because of principles, they weren't taking a stand against corruption.
