Detroit Zoo Releases More Than 11,000 Endangered Tadpoles Into Puerto Rican Pond

The Detroit Zoo recently released more than 11,000 tadpoles into a Puerto Rican pond, in an effort to restore an endangered toad's population there.The Puerto Rican crested tadpoles were born in captivity and released 24 hours after they left the zoo into a forest pond.There, they will be monitored to determine if the toads are thriving and breeding.
