Detective Pikachu is coming to Nintendo 3DS in the West on March 23, 2018. Today The Pokemon Company announced the Western release date for the action adventure game, as well as a special Detective Pikachu amiibo, which has special functionality within the game. The game stars a unique gumshoe Pikachu and his partner, Tim Goodman, as they search for clues and solve a series of cases while investigating the disappearance of Tim's father, Harry. A vital part of the duo, Pikachu will be able to talk to other Pokemon to obtain clues that Tim wouldn't be able to find on his own. Detective Pikachu includes all the chapters of the 2016 Japanese Detective Pikachu: Birth of a New Duo, as well as additional content, including new locations for players to explore.
