Deportation ‘fear’ Stirs Student Rally In Stamford

More than 70 young immigrants attended the rally, which followed last month’s A Day Without Immigrants, a nationwide boycott when foreign business owners closed their shops and immigrants stayed home from work. Martin promised Stamford police will not ask victims or witnesses to crimes about their immigration status. The teenagers were also supported by CT Students For A Dream, an immigrant advocacy group comprised of college students.
