Abercrombie & Fitch was the biggest surprise of the month wiith a 9% jump in same-store sales, while Nordstrom posted double-digit gains. But just more than half of all retailers missed their expected goals. Warm weather and deep discounting helped kick off the summer shopping season, but retailers still reported mixed sales results for June.
