MELBOURNE, Australia (AP)—Nikolay Davydenko has won his 13th straight match, beating Fernando Verdasco of Spain, 6-2, 7-5, 4-6, 6-7 (5), 6-3, to advance to the quarterfinals of the Australian Open. Davydenko, who has never won a major or played in the final of one, has wins against Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal at last year's season-ending ATP championships in London and the season-opening tournament in Doha during his streak. Verdaso, who had 20 double-faults and 81 unforced errors, lost in the semifinals at Melbourne Park last year to Nadal in the longest match in the tournament's history - 5 hours, 14 minutes.
