In case you were unaware, PAX East is in its second day in Boston, MA right now, and the spiritual successor to Burnout, Dangerous Driving 2, is playable on the show floor. The game is scheduled to release "holiday 2020," and developer Three Fields Entertainment has a split-screen head-to-head version running on PC, as well as a single-player version running on Nintendo Switch. Split-screen Dangerous Driving 2 play was fast and fun, and gave off some really incredible Burnout vibes, which is no surprise given the fact Three Fields Entertainment was founded Burnout developer Criterion Studios's founders.
