Danbury School Evacuated For Possible Gas Leak

DANBURY — Fire crews are investigating a possible gas leak at Hayestown Avenue Elementary School after an odor of natural gas was reported in the building Friday morning. The school has been evacuated and an ambulance was called for an 8-year-old child who was having difficulty breathing, according to scanner reports. A teacher told firefighters that the odor of gas was possibly coming from a radiator, dispatchers said. More information as it becomes available.
